Sehome Village in Bellingham includes a few restaurants including Espinoza Mexican Grill. I need to explore Sehome Village more, and I will write about it here.

Espinoza Mexican Restaurant in Bellingham
Considering Espinoza Mexican, down in Sehome Village near the Bellingham REI store. Never been there, but the Bellingam/Whatcom County Health department issued some stars about how clean various restaurants are, and my recollection is this was one of the clean ones. Best I could find on the web is a menu.
So it’s off to Espinoza Mexican tonight!
Bacchus Bistro in Langley BC
Just under an hour away, a few miles over the border is Bacchus Bistro, part of the Domaine De Chaberton winery. It’s a French Bistro open for dinner on weekends and lunch all week. Maybe interesting? One of only a handful of restaurants around Bellingham that are rated by Zagats… what are the reviews like?
Well, just a few days ago the Champagne People enjoyed Bacchus. But last summer/fall two other foodies said it was “terrible” and that “It has so much potential but unfortunately the whole package makes it a place worth skipping”. Yuck.
They definitely need help with web marketing, as their winery ranks for the bistro name but doesn’t have the bistro content. I did find a menu of unknown age (PDF file), and then I discovered the Bistro is included in the winery site, buried behind the navigation. See the Bistro info here, and the dinner menu here.
Status? Pass for now.
If you have more to add that would help others decide to visit the Bacchus Bistro (or not), please add your comments below!

Tino’s Pizza & Pasta
A teacher friend of mine who relocated from Queens, NY to Bellingham clued me in to Tino’s Pizza. It was in Sudden Valley, which if you’re familiar with Bellingham, is considered a trek from town. But I grew up in NYC. They don’t know what a trek is around here. A trek is going down to Seattle, ok?
My opportunity for this trek came in the form of soccer practice. Its location was changed from the Carl Cozier fields (1 mile drive) to the Sudden Valley fields (6 miles). And I had to pass Tino’s Pizza to get there.
Well, what a wonderful Italian restaurant. And I know, because I had to live in NJ for 18 years.
It was busy, smelled fresh and tomato-ey and the patrons were laughing. I ordered a pepperoni pizza to go and I was happy to get 1 slice. Even the 5 year old cried for it. One thing I welcome back about NJ is the taste of Tino’s Pizza. It’s worth the drive and next time I will sit ‘n stay ‘n stuff.
