Semiahmoo Marina Store

Water wind rocks and bald eagles best describes our experience on Semiahmoo Spit. See page 50 of Hiking Whatcom County by Ken Wilcox for this expedition and many others.

The Semiahmoo Marina Store is a stop for boating needs and hiking snacks. They serve Starbucks and smoothies. The smoothies were $3.75 and mango based – very yummy. Two peach and one raspberry were thick and refreshing.

The kids want to go back to Semiahmoo Spit again at the same time to walk under the bare tree the bald eagle perches on. Did I mention the swooping eagle at Birch Bay I thought would carry off my youngest?

The Woods #6 (coffee house)

We went on an expedition today to find a pirate ship we could board and commandeer. The starting point was Fairhaven Village Green. Can you guess where we ended our search? The playground at Boulevard Park.

It’s an easy trek if you’re alone; however, if you have a few children it can be an expedition. Lots of fun!

The Woods6 have taken up residence at Boulevard Park and I permitted sampling. Warning: expensive.

We enjoyed smoothies apiece (when did a slurpee start costing $4?) and cookies and scones. It was ok.

But now begins our smoothie sampling campaign…read Semiahmoo Marina Store.
