Yes, you can buy gas here and everything else you’d need in a pinch (laundromat).
At the end of April, I’m itching to see the waterfalls. The snow is melting off Komo Kulshan and the rush is literal. So on Friday the partner, 5 year old and I took a drive on Highway 542 to pay homage to one of our waterfalls. Played in the snow, too.
On the way back to the city, food was in order. We stopped at Maple Fuels in Maple Falls. The salami and provolone sandwich I got from (and shared happily) was fantastic. Fat hoagie with everything on it. The ladies who helped me were very nice…and patient, while I tried to make up my mind. Many yummy choices (but as you’ll learn salami is my childhood favorite – Hungarian salami – but I’ve an open mind).
Go play in the snow at Mt. Baker (Komo Kulshan to the Lummi) and chow at Maple Fuels.
