We just returned from the loveliest anniversary dinner with, sadly, less than wonderful service. This restaurant is one of our special-occasion places & I couldn't wait. The meal was absolutely excellent, as always. But our waiter ditched us at the end so we never received the dessert menu we asked for & we watched as he catered to two other tables that were clearly regulars. We quietly left. I love the food but will return with lowered expectations...

Good day to all - I personally want to say YEA! I am so happy that it was taken by such a person. He did everything and more that I had wanted to do. You see I for business reasons had chosen the old landmark "Carols Coffee Cup" and am quite happy for it.
Being in the food business and passionate about what I do I find it a plus to have great restaurants. I have stopped by a few times to grab a coffee and a snack on my way to work at IL CAFFE RIFUGIO's. I cannot wait to pull myself away along with my wife to have nice dinner or breakfast.

I was in Bellingham visiting my friends Janet and Brad Stephan last week and we decided to have lunch at The Fork. I am from Portland and have to admit I am a bit of a food snob. Portland has a wonderful food scene and I am pleased to say that The Fork would be a huge hit here!
Janet and I shared the strawberry and nectarine salad and one of the pizzas with home made sausage. Hallelujah! Everything was absolutely delicious, beautifully prepared and presented. The Fork is a little gem and well worth the short and pretty drive from town.
Make sure you try the truffle popcorn -- yum!

Ate dinner at The Fork Sunday night. We arrived at 7 and the restaurant was just starting to fill up. Unusual for a eatery in Bellingham. Very relaxed atmosphere. You can dress up or down as you please. I love the white linen table cloths. They have done a nice job in painting and simple decorating.
What I came for was the food. The appetizers are varied and well done. We had the duck spring rolls and they were delicious. My wife and I each had a green salad with nectarines (very good) and carmelized walnuts. We spit an order of ribs. These were very nicely prepared. Dry rubbed and cooked so the meat was ready to fall off the bones. This came with a slightly spicey mustard potato salad that was quite good.
My wife couldn't wait to order the chocolate cake which was new to the menu. It was so rich we only took 2 bites each and had to take the rest home. I appreciated the good coffee.
The wine list is simple with moderately priced world wines. I didn't ask about a corkage fee, but it would be worth bringing your own bottle.
Food was moderately priced. Appetizers are $3-10. Salads are about $8. Entrees are from $12-20.
My complaint with the restaurant with The Fork won't be shared by all. We found the portion sizes to be too large. My wife and I could have split the springroll appetizer and had a salad and called it a meal. We were told the ribs were a hefty serving. Even though we split the dish, we still took nearly have the plate home.
Please tell your friends to go here and support this fine local restaurant.

The Fork is now open and it is not to be missed! We are local neighbors and we have seen business come and go at this local. We are over the top about the quality, design and flavors of this wonderful addition to Agate Bay. We have delighted in breakfast, lunch and dinners already. And if your mouth is not already on cloud 9 (and your stomach filled)try dessert. The lemon chiffon cake will float off your plate-grab it and enjoy every crumb! If you do not come-there will be more to enjoy for the locals!!!
